I'm installing about 500 sq ft. of new 3/4 pre-finished hardwood in my living room. I'm installing this over my original hardwood and will nail it down. My issue is that my old floor is sagging in some locations and I did try to raise the floor by jacking up the joists however it seemed to start causing more issues than it was worth. Can I fill the low spots with self leveling concrete? If I do will I be able to nail the new hardwood on top? Will the concrete crack and disintegrate when I nail down the new hardwood?

I appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums! How "out" is the floor? Some deflection is acceptable. Have you taken into account the raising of the floor and how you will deal with the transitions? 3/4" is quite a rise.
