I was wondering if I could get some input about 4" rigid clothes dryer tubing. Am I correct that aluminum is preferred over galvanized steel? I'm guessing aluminum simply has less deterioration and is simply smoother inside over time??? Pros/cons between the two?
The other question deals with finding long lengths of 4" aluminum tubing. It seems most home improvement stores only carry 2-foot lengths. Is this standard, or can you find longer runs of aluminum tubing from other sources? I'd prefer longer lengths to avoid the number of taped seems, and long-term maintenance.
thanks.

Both will have no real advantage over the other. Both should be cleaned every year. 4 foot lengths should be with the duct work.
