we have wooden chairs. the legs are round.
being typical chinese junk they did not cut the legs at the bottom so a flat surface meets the floor.
they just cut the legs straight across - at 90 degree when they came off the lathe.
so only an edge touches the floor.
i would like to know how to accurately cut them so they have a flat surface in line with the floor.

With the chair sitting on a flat surface, take a fine point marking pen or pencil and lay it on the floor, of somthing the get the marker up to the high point of the leg. Then just mark it around it and cut. Round over the cut edge, and install floor pads appropriate for the floor.
