This just started last night
About a week ago I had no water. I went out to the well which is 100' down. I took the cap off the 4" pipe.
I pulled the switch up and there was a kink in the yellow tube that goes into the bottom of the switch. I made it round and the switch/water came on.
Now starting last night this switch cuts off and on every 10 seconds???????
What might that be.

You have a water logged tank.
Read the first sticky (http://forum.doityourself.com/wells-sump-pumps-septic-sewage-systems/365092-pump-cycling-water-logged-other-well-info.html), and I think you will be ok.

2 days later I get the RIGHT ANSWER to my post.
Your right.

My tank is 5' buried in the ground.
I dug down to my tank check the pressure and it was 50psi.. I let air out for 3 min and still 50psi. 5 more min of letting air out then WATER SHOOTS out of the tank.
Bad Bladder..
I have a Water Source Heat Pump...
I was off, I started digging around my tank I dug half way down wrapped log chain around it. I was all wet/raining.
dang chain kept coming off when i pull with my truck.

I had to break down call a back hoe guy, $200 he digs it up. I he had to do was clamp the top and pull up.
Butt hole for chargeing that much, I done the diggin
Go get another tank for $250 and put it in.
The well man wanted $1,800 to replace the tank.

Now ALL IS WELL WITH MY WELL.
Thanks you for your reply

FLASH!!!
I went to that sticky and sure enough those links tell you everything you need to know. I just did not cover a buried tank. It was all above ground.
Still it is a GOOD SITE and I should have seen that a year ago.
now on Im reading stickys

What I do want to know.. How to you figure out when you pump goes out? Do the switch contacts close but you don't hear the pump running?
What happens when your pump goes out, besides NO WATER.
What are the signs?

With everything buried, it makes it kinda hard to tell.

One thing to look for is the pressure going up and down quick.

Your electric bill is higher than it should be.

You already know about the no water one.

Having too much air is one indication that there is a problem

That is about all there is to look for from above ground.
