Sorry if this is in the wrong section or posted twice.
I'm looking to buy a house in Westchester county new york that needs some remodeling. One of my concerns is where do I put the waste from demolition? I was thinking of renting a uhaul to carry the waste somewhere. But where would I discard it? And any costs associated with this?

Hi sddiy,
Here is a list of Transfer stations; facilities in Westchester County that will accept Municipal Solid Waste, Construction and Demolition Debris, Scrap Metals, and Recyclable glass, Metals, Paper, Cardboard and Plastics from individuals
LICENSED TRANSFER STATIONS (http://www.westchestergov.com/solidwastecommission/licensed_transfer_stations.htm)
I understand that the County is recycling it.
The usual system for collecting is a cointainer

thanks! you always seem to answer all my questions :)
I'll guess I'll have to pay for the container. Can get bit expensive if I remodel in stages. Maybe I could just do all the demolition in one shot.

Hi sddiy,
Glad to help! :D
Is not cheap, but you should check the options with the different companies
