In an effort to conserve energy, one area I looked into was my electronics. I've already switched to laptops since they consume less power than PCs w/ 400W powersupplies. All our bulbs are powercompacts. I don't think there's much I can do about the TV except don't go mega-sized like 60"+ But then I came across the Aaxatech P1 pico projector found here:

AAXA P1 Pico Projector - LCoS Based Hand-held Pocket Projector - LED Micro Projector (http://www.aaxatech.com/products/kp190_p1_pico_projector.htm)

This unit consumes only 6W of power while being able to put up a screen up to 80". From what I've read, that's only in a dark room though, so I think realistically I'll be looking more at a 48" screen. But still, 48" for 6W of power is pretty green wouldn't you say?

The speakers aren't that great I've read, so I'll most likely need to hook up an additional 50W speakers to it. 50W for DVD player for a grand total of 106W vs an average wattage of 339W for a plasma TV alone.

So what do you guys think of this as a way to go green?
