i want to lift an f350 powerstroke about 3 inches in the front and 4 in the back so that it would sit higher and hopefully level. could this be done with some simple spacers and longer u bolts or would that cause problems with the sway bars and the like. it is a 4x4.

i suppose it ia a 4x4?
(i have worked in the ford dealer ship service department,for 30 tears)
there are many menufacturees oy 'lift kits'.
most involve blocks & u bolts for the rear.
but when you get to the front.there is a droped pittman arm(that causes problems)/usualy new ft springsnot easily installed)/track bar modification of some sort/stabilizer bar-end link mod/longer or remounted brake hoses/ & poss more.
then if you go with larger tires,the power steering usually is not up to the extra load & it becomes hard to steer at low speeds.
from 'my' point of view,having to work on these things-i hate them!!
