Hi,
I have a wood garage door that I have maintained in a natural wood look with semi-transparent deck stains. I would now like to paint it black. Is this a problem? Will the paint stick?

As long as the door is clean, there shouldn't be any problems with painting over the stain. Depending on the condition of the stain you might want to use a primer. Will the black be latex or oil base?
