Hello, I have a 60's bi-level home with all electric baseboard heat. My kitchen is only 10'x10', with 1 side completely open to dining/living area. Cabinets on 2 other sides. Would like to add cabinets to outside wall also, but have baseboard heater on that wall. As there is no other wall to move it to, that seems to be not an option. Are there any alternatives other than in-floor radiant electric?

Search for toe-kick heaters like this one (http://www.houseneeds.com/shop/HeatingProducts/heatingunits/electrical/mysonelectricaltoekickheaters.htm). One or two of these strategically placed might fit under a cabinet or somewhere close by to provide the same comfort. You could shop for cabinets that these fit with or find a creative carpenter that might have some ideas.
