Has anyone used a retrofit kit to make their existing recessed lights air tight? Found some online, only about $5 each. It is a cone baffle that fits up into the fixture with a gasket at the end. I have a few lights that it may be beneficial to use on and just curious on others thoughts.
Thank You,
Neil

If you have a link I would be happy to take a look at it, but my concern would be, is it approved by the mfg of the light, ie UL and all others. Obviously air flow and heat are related, so any reduction in air flow could result in an increase in heat. photobucket.com and post the link on the tab above.

Here is a link to one of the ones that I found:
Recessed Lighting - 6 Inch Air Tight Baffle Trim (http://www.ccl-light.com/docs/indoor/recessed/6in120vstandardtrims/c3atw/hires.html)
Says it is UL rated (on previous page).
Thanks,
Neil
