I currently have a weathertron thermostat and i'm trying to put in a programable honeywell. I have to many wires and not sure which go where.
Old wires:
G
Y
X2
B
T
R
W which was same wire hooked to X2

New Thermostat only has:
Rh
Rc
W
Y
G

I tried R to Rc jumpered to Rh
Y to Y
G to G
W to W
the outside unit kicks on in auto but the air is not cool
when you put fan to on position the outside unit doesn't come on.
someone help

I'm afraid you got the wrong t-stat. What's the model # on the new t-stat?

You will need to get the RTH7500 or RTH7600 model lines to work with your heat pump system.

Do you have an extra wire that is not used.
