On our 318 chrysler inboard, we replaced both sides of the exhaust system. Everything is new. It seems to have good water flow out the back and the manifolds run cool. however, it steams like crazy, more at increased speed. Any thoughts? Is this normal?

Could be serious

Is this the same boat that had the coolant leak last year?
Raw water flow is very hard to quantify visually when its flowing out the back of the boat. Ck the sea strainer, thru hull and seacock, visually ispect the tube bundle in the transmission and engine oil coolers for blockages. That should get you back to normal exhaust temps.
