I'm getting a new R410a Heatpump, lineset & evaporator coil. The larger (7/8") low pressure line of the lineset is insulated. Does it make sense to also insulate the smaller line (3/8") ? The lines run through my basement which is conditioned space. thanks

Nope no need to insulate it.

The smaller 3/8" line then stays room temperature in both heating & cooling modes ? thanks mark
