I would like to wire my humidifier (honeywell he360) to my furnace(tempstar). Im not surehow to properly wire it. The board on the furnace has a HUM prong and a neutral and i am pretty sure it is 24V. Is it one wire from humidistat to HUM on furnace then from neutral on furnace to the humidifier and the other wire from humidistat to the humidifier. Also as long as the furnace is 24v is that ok to wire the humidifier directlly to the furnace . Thanks for any help..

Are you refering to the HUM that is showing in your photo that has orange wire to HEAT? If so, then no, it's not 24 volts. it's line voltage.

No, the 360 is NOT wired up that way.. The 360 model has it's own transformer, and you plug the 360 into an outlet. Being that your furnace has the line voltage hook up, wire up a single port outlet to that.

Do you mean wire a outlet to HUM and Neutral and plug humidifier in to that.

Thank you for your help.

I would suggest putting in a single outlet like I have on mine.

(sorry for the bad photo, was taken on my cell phone.)

That way some one can't plug in something else that may be a higher amp that may hurt the board.
