I am upgrading from old WeatherKing Thermostat to Honeywell RTH7600 programmable t-stat. I have electric cooling and gas heating controlled by one t-stat. I understand where to all connect wires except for the red. There is an available space for "R" and "RC". I am able to connect the "RC" to the "RC" but I still have a wire left. It was a small red wire with one end connecting to "RC". There was another end connected to "RH" on my old t-stat. There is no connection labeled "RH" on my new t-stat. I stopped trying not to make a costly mess of things. Thanks for your help.

The wire connected on the Rh on the old t-stat ties to R on the new t-stat.

And Old Rc goes to Rc on new t-stat.

Then remove the factory jumper wire that ties R and Rc.

Then on the set up menu #170, set to 3.
