I have a Troy built self propelled walk behind mower with a Honda GCV160 engine. It will only stay started for about a minute before shutting down. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be.
Thanks

Try it with the gas cap loose in case it's not venting...The fuel petcock is turned to the "On" position & you open the choke after you start it,, Right???? Have you tried a new spark plug & air filter in it??? Even if they look fine,, these Honda's are really picky when it comes to air & fuel..Let us know what you find & the pro's will get you going in no time.... Roger

I replaced the spark plug and air filter but still not working so now I am thinking of pulling off and soaking the carburetor in a carb cleaner. Have not tried the loosening of the gas cap...going to have to try that.
Thanks for the help :)
