Flickr: 2Wheels2009's Photostream (http://www.flickr.com/photos/42167279@N04/?saved=1)I have a hole in my siding about the size of a baseball where the phone line comes into my house. This is on the south side of my house and the weather in the Pacific NW has eaten away at the insertion point when the utility box was installed. Anyway, my house/siding was built around 1979, and I haven't had any luck finding any manufacturers that still produce this style. (see pics) I know that the siding is plywood sheeting. The hole on the siding occurs at this groove which has a span of 1-1/2" and a depth of 1/8". Does anyone recognize this siding? I assume it is not being MFG any longer so what about routing a similar span from a sheet of ply? My only question is, what kind of bit made this "V" grove? Your ideas and input are greatly appreciated!

303 siding is plywood siding made in various styles. Yours is 12" groove, RBB (reverse board & batten), shiplap. Pretty common and still available. Usually 5/8" thick (19/32). Your local lumberyard can get it if they don't stock it. Big Box stores probably won't be helpful.

An example of a site (http://www.royomartin.com/repository/sales/Premium%20303%20Exterior%20Siding.pdf) with some pictures.

Thanks for the info XSleeper. I really appreciate the link too. I will try our local lumber yard for this siding.

Around here they would call it T1-11.

Ya, here they also call it T-111 but RB&B is different [the groove is wider] If I remember correctly, T-111 comes in both a 4" and 8" groove spacing and the groove is narrow.
