I have a Craftsman 8HP Chipper Shredder. The main bold that holds the impeller has sheared off allowing the impeller to come right off. My problem is a section of bolt in the center of the impeller that needs to come out. I don’t know if this section is threaded or the bold it just stuck.
The female or back side of the impeller looks good and where the motor shaft fits looks good. Surprised to find no key slot on the impeller but there is a slot on the motor shaft. Anybody have any ideas if the center of the impeller is threaded or am I working metal to metal because the motor was running when it sheared.
