I've been having problems with the pool heater and when I jumper across the pressure switch, everything works again. I haven't left the jumper on because I don't want it to run when the pump stops.
I pulled the pressure switch to inspect and no water came out of the copper siphon tube. I then turned the pump on hoping to see water and still nothing. Should I see water come out of the siphon tube when the pressure switch is not connected?
Then I removed the siphon tube from the outlet header expecting water to come out there and still nothing. I know it is circulating through the heater because when I put everything back together and jumper the pressure switch, the heater fires and I get warm water coming into the pool.
Please help! TIA!

yes there should be water coming out. You must have a blockage in your header.

Thanks. That fixed it. I put the air compressor up to the header hole and got a geyser after that. More water than I expected.
