Power Miser is 5 years old and now the pilot won't ignite. I hold down the knob in the pilot position and click the ignitor button it sparks but does not light the burner. Not sure if it matters but I don't hear any gas flow when the knob is in the pilot position.

Piezzo electric (spark ignitors aren't especially reliable ways of igniting the pilot.
Tape a match to a stick and see if it will light. If it wont, check to see if you can see the match flame being blown around by gas from the pilot burner.
If not. take the pilot tubing off the gas valve and see if you have gas coming out when you press the magnet/button. If you do, disassemble the pilot burner and clean the pilot orifice.

From what I have read before buying a new heater (last week) all heaters built since sometime in 2003 have sealed combustion chambers. May be a little difficult to get a match in there. :)

Open the hatch and light the pilot, or observe it carefully if it wont light.
Once you have things lit up, seal the burner again.
