Hey all,

In the process of constructing a new home and am getting ready to lay a solid 3/4" hickory floor.

I currently have 3/4" Advantech for the subfloor, would it be wise to apply an underlayment of some sort?? CDX? Particaleboard? If so, do you recommend a moisture barrier between the two or just under the hardwood?

The flooring will be running perpendicular to the joists.

Thanks in advance!

You do not need any other sub-floor under the hardwood.
