I have a 1984 Honda 750 shadow. The bike has been tough to start lately. It has been sitting around longer than it should have been, 7 months. I figuresd it was the carburator giving me problems. I have cleaned the carb and reinstalled them. The bike starts hard . The bike ran for a while then died. If it starts it will only idles with choke on and will only run with choke. if you give it gas it dies.

After many steps of trouble shooting here's the problem I have. I have the spark plug removed and grounded to the engine. I get 1 spark when I crank the engine but looks weak. The battery is charged. I have checked the connections, or at least all that I can find.

Any help would be great.
