got my eyes on a 2 cyl honda 18 hp liquid cooled engine, but the lawn tractor it came out of is gone, and with it went the CDI etc
i'm thinking there ought to be aftermarket transistorized ign systems out there. I've found a couple of web pages with instructions to build your own with "hall effect sensors" and there really isn't that much to them, but don't really care to learn soldering a circuit board etc
anyone know of a source for a "glue the magnet on", "use the degree wheel to adjust timing", connect this wire to the battery, type system??
tks in advance

like honda's twin 13 HP (i haven't seen the 18HP svc manual yet) then ignition for a single cyl engine would be fine - the 13hp fires both plugs every time
