Hello Everyone...I am about to wall mount my 50" plasma over the fireplace. I had a question for any experts out there...

- Will basic Audio/Video cables, speaker wire, power plugs be heat resistant enough behind the wall? I just want to make sure the heat doesn't damage them. I don't really see any direct contact with any heat itself, but I wasn't sure about residual heat from the vent going up.

Thanks!

No damage will occur to cables, plugs, etc.

A temperature high enough to damage cables would also be high enough to cause a fire hazard -- charring of wood studs, ect.
