Hi,
I am planning to replace the carpet on my stairs & install hardwood & I want to put tile on the risers. My question is what do I install first? Should I install all the tile on the risers first then do the treads or do the treads first then install the tile risers or does it make a difference? Thanks for your help.

It may can be done, but I wouldn't do it. Any flexing of the staircase, like when it is walked on will crack the tile. Not a very stable location for tile. Others may have done it successfully, so wait for other comments. They'll be here shortly.
