hi -

strange question. my ryobi 10" table saw shut off mid use, eg from overload. i was ripping a long piece on a bevel and the outfeed table was not perfectly level to the saw.

the "reset" button was tripped. i reset it - the saw still won't work. it's getting power [the breaker did not trip] and the blade turns freely, and doesn't look to be damaged in any way. any ideas? thanks.

the motor probably needs to cool down before it can be reset.

yeah, I waited quite a while yesterday - still no luck. this morning a cleaned out around the switch w/ compressed air and it finally started. maybe some dust in the contacts in the switch or reset mechanism? i've no idea how the switch works. in any case, she's running for now... thanks.
