Outdoor Pest Control - Yellow Jackets in Composter !

Okay, here is the situation. I have a black plastic composter in my back yard that has a yellow jacket nest in it. There are small holes built into the composter all around it about 6 inches off the ground. There is quite a bit of activity in only one set of 4 holes on one side of it. I have a friend that is coming over tonight and our plan is to wait until after dark, tip the thing over so we can see the nest and spray it like mad with 3 cans of Raid wasp and hornet killer at the same time. Does it seem like this will work? Obviously, once we start this, we cannot stop in the middle of it. Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Here is a possible second idea. I have a long 3/4" copper pipe...about 10 feet long. I have considered dumping some Drione dust into one end, and putting a compressed air nozzle into the other end, putting the end of the pole with the Drione up to the holes in the composter and blasting air through the pipe, thus blowing the Drione into the holes on the composter. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or my earlier post? I really need to make this thing go away. I have 2 Golden Retrievers that frequently walk by this thing, and although they have gotten stung yet, I fear that they will. I'm afraid if that happens, I may just snap and wind up doing something incredibly stupid...like tipping the damn thing over in the middle of the day and proceed to destroy it by hand ! Needless to say, I would be pissed off beyond all reason !
