I've got an old Sears attic exhaust fan.

I'm very reluctant to rip out and replace the entire
assembly. The fan cage on the inside and the dome
on the outside of the roof are in very good condition.
The plywood sheathing and shingles are also in good
shape.

A lot of roofing cememt (the black stuff) was used to
close the gap between the fan housing and the plywood.
There are no leaks and I would like it to stay that way!

I need a new motor and fan blade. The unit model number
is too faded to read, but I've got the motor model number.

Motor model #1-31092-13

The fan blade is 11-3/4" wide. It has three sections or
blades.

Maybe this is common to all attic fans, but the clearance
between the blade and its housing is minimal. The blade
will actually hit the fan cage if it's not positioned correctly
on the motor shaft.

This unit is at least thirty years old. Even if I had the
model number, I'm certain Sears could not provide the
parts.

I contacted a guy on eBay who sells many different types
of ventilation devices for homes. So far, I have not
received a reply.

If there is someone who might have these parts, I can
easily provide more info like the motor dimensions, etc.

I will say that I am not a big fan of sears but what they do good is parts. Look for it on line I bet they will have it. If not it would be worth it to just replace your motor.
