We have a 1979 Cruisers 22' boat and we are recovering all of the vinyl inside. We can't figure out how to take off the throttle handle next to the captain's chair to get the side panel off. The screws are just spinning and won't unscrew. Any help is appreciated!!

There are most likely nuts on the back side if the gunnel.
