I have a drain problem by my patio, which is also my carport. We have gutters all around the house and one is off the corner of my patio. I dug a ditch around the area so that when it rains it won't flood the patio, but now it is a moat when it rains. It would still fill up regardless of the down spout's position.
My wife and I are hoping to plant something in this area but don't want to take a chance on the plants drowning after a shower. I need to get some ideas on how to drain the area and keep it as hidden as possible. Please advise.
