Hello all, I have a Richmond Power Vent 2 water heater, and it keeps going to 4 blinks on the troubleshooting indicator. The code means Pres Sw Open. I power cycle the unit and it will work for maybe an hour.. sometimes a day.. and other times a few days before it goes back to 4 plinks and I have to cycle it again. I have checked the vent (PVC pipe) leading to the outside and it does not appear to be clogged..
Does anyone know what my problem could be? Thank you in advance!

open pressure switch could mean that the blower is failing to start or shutting down during heating, possibly due to bad bearings, bad capacitor, thermal overload (internal safety in motor). hose to the pressure switch could be cracked - trim back both ends and re-attach. DON'T BYPASS THE SWITCH!!!
