how should I prepare my concrete floor before instaling this type of tile? its in the laundry room and not very important that the job be perfect so the minimum will do.
Thanks,
Pete

i would at the least fine sweep and flat trowle [no notches]clear thin spread vinyl tile adhesive on to the floor, let dry till clear and lay tile. you should patch the floor to be safe though.

Whoa..no reason for tile adhesive if this is self stick. Clean well...no grit or bumps..then do it again..then vacuum..then do it again...any "stuff" will telegraph through. Yes, patch any chinks or divots in the concrete.
Use the adhesive prep, can't remember the name..it just a semi-thick white liquid that paints on..then dries clear.
Then lay the tiles.

ahesive prep is call "clear thin spread' flat trowled is a faster way to apply over concrete and will clean floor of any dust or dirt left over, cheaper than buying concete primer . one gal. can will be more than enough, left over can be used for another job if needed with a knoched trowled

I agree w/ Gunguy! I helped w/ my coworkers flooring in his basement bathroom! We just cleaned it realy well w/ water and a mop let it dry and started putting them down. We did add a little adhesive to each corner and one in the center of the tile for a little extra strength and they are still down w/ no problems at all. Just use a skim coat to make sure it is level and what not.
Guess if you want, you could always lay say 10 of them down and let it go for a week or so and what happens!! That way for some unknown reason it doesn't work you don't waste all your tile!! What kind did you buy?? I have used Armstrong in my kitchen and bath and cryntel (spelling) and love them both!!
Good Luck

Nope, mine haven't yet. I put liquid nail on all my tiles for added security and so far no problems!
