I went up to my second home today and was enjoying the lake until I found a terrible surprise in my house. I went to make lunch and the pantry was overrun by rodents. I guess they got in while we were gone and now the place is a mess!!! I need to take back my house! I think there are at least 10 rats in my house and I want them gone asap. What type of rat bait or poison can I use (I figured there are to many for traps)GI2.

Spectracide makes a product called SafeKill. It gets the rats/mice, but does no harm to second generations. In other words, if your pet picks up a rat carcass, it won't be harmed, as the product does not contain poison. It has systemic properties, that prevent the rat from taking on water. They die of dehydration. I use it around my barn and shop, where I have dogs, cats and chickens, and have had no substantial rat population and no harm to animals.
You could always set rat snakes loose in the house......nevermind!
Oops, didn't note the ban. Oh well.
