Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum to post this question but here goes.

I glass of red wind that was sitting on a table next to the wall got knocked over. The wine splashed on the wall. The wall is painted with a flat white paint. I don't have the paint and wasn't planning on redecorating the room.

Does anyone have a suggestion for removing the stain?

Sorry, I think your best option is going to be to cover the stain with a sealing primer and then paint the wall. If a damp cloth doesn't remove the wine stain, I don't think anything will that won't also damage the paint.

Mitch has it right. Flat paint is meant for ceilings....it doesnt clean up well. I would seal and then go with at least a satin or eggshell sheen. Which is more cleanable.
