Kenmore Model 110.74932200

Problem:
Inconsistent ignition

Behavior:
Turn dryer on. Ignitor glows bright orange/yellow.. Gas occasionally ignites.. Successful ignition usually only occurs on the first ignition after the unit has been sitting for a while. Subsequent attempts show the ignitor glowing but no gas ignites.. Ignitor then goes dark. This cycle repeats..

Tried so far:
I had first thought the ignitor was bad and replaced it. Didnt seem to glow very good.. more orange/red than orange/yellow. So, the ignitor is new.

This post from Sharp Advice was full of good info..

What I need:
Based on what I have read in the above link and other posts it seems that the coils are the next logical parts to replace. I am looking for confirmation that the issue is bad coils or alternate advice..

Thanks,
jerid

Sounds like the coils, The coils heat up than open, after they cool down and close the flame will start again. Replace both coils as will save future headache.
