I'm making a chicken pen using 4X4 post sunk 30 inches in the ground every 4 ft. Center of one post is 4 ft to the next post center. I'm runing the 4 ft wide, 1X2 inch fence verticle between the post. I have one section that is 10 ft wide. I would like to set a post in the middle with 5 ft on each side. I do have a top cross piece (2X4) and a center rail (2X4) going all the way around, except this 10 ft section. Is there a way to securely attach 2, 4 ft wide, 1X2 fences together? Do they make clips or something for this purpose? I don't think I what to use wire for this. Any ideas out there? Thanks.

To splice fencing together you want to use Hog Rings and hog ring pliers. You can find them at farm stores and Tractor Supply Company

So are these in the fence department or in the hog department?

You could also run a horizontal rail at the splice and staple the two sections of wire to the rail.
Ask the clerk about the location of the hog rings.

Um, not sure. I think I saw them by the cages but I suggest asking. They will know what your talking about.
