We have some light stains on our Diamondbrite plaster that haven't responded to other cleaning methods, so we are going to arrange for an acid wash shortly. The pool is 9 years old and we're selling the home, so we think this will also freshen it up and enhance the showings.
I just wanted to get advice on any gotcha's that we should look out for. Here are some things we've been thinking about already, and other information that might help you see things we've missed.
The pool is very close to the house on three sides. It is under a screen enclosure, and has a minimum of 14 feet of paver decking on the exposed side before open ground is reached.
We have had very dry weather here in the Houston area for some time. We have the occasional afternoon shower once a week, but nothing drastic yet. Our waste discharge is very far away from the pool area (100+ feet) and slopes away from the pool.
As you can see, I want to make sure environmental conditions don't create problems for us while the pool is emptied. The stains are just here and there and very light, so I don't anticipate it will remain empty for very long.
Should I expect to find it difficult to locate a company to do this that has the insurance coverage to protect us in case something happens?
Just wanted to educate myself a little before picking someone to do this for us. Thanks for any advice, stories, warnings, etc.
