Have a Carrier TSTATCCBAC01-B attempting to upgrade to a Honeywell RTH7500. Carrier wiring is:
W- White
O- Orange
G- Green
R- Red
C- Blue
Y- Yellow
Guide for RTH7500 seems to say to hook up this way
C-Blue
G- Green
Y- Yellow
W- Orange
R- Red
W2- White
Does that seem right?
I have 8 wires coiming out, but 2(black and brown) are not connected.

Why the upgrade?
What do your have for back up heat? Make and model # of furnace or air handler?
Does that seem right?
So far, yes. I'd like to find out what you got for back up heat, we may be able use the unused wire.

Why the upgrade?
The carrier model I have is non-programmmable. I'm not home 10-12 hrs of the day I'm trying to conserve(and lower) my energy consumption. The Honeywell is 7day programable.

The air handler is a Carrier, model # FC4BNF042

I actually have the tstat model number incorrect. It's TSTATCCBHP01-B

On your model # I could not find the FC4BNF042. Did you mean FC4DNF042?
For heat pump system with electric heat, do not a large temp set back.. Do maybe 2˚, otherwise, you are not going to save anything doing a large set back on HP system.
Do you know the model # on the strip heater banks or KW?
