My inlaws have a Dream Pool (installed about 25 years ago) they had the liner replaced last year but the vinyl coping is a mess, cracking, etc... & needs to be replaced. (Dream Pools no longer in business - we tried to locate them ) .
It is a 16 x 32 inground pool. The coping that goes around pool seems to be wood planks with a foam layer & then the vinyl layer. The coping has a rounded edge facing the inner part of the pool and flat edge on the outer side of the pool.
My question is - what is the easiest way to get the wood planking up to replace the old foam/vinyl with new foam/vinyl?
The wood planking seems to have been nailed in (but there is a small gully in which the nails are sitting - which would make it difficult to use the claw end of a hammer to pry nails up). The liner is not attached to this coping/planking.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to easily get this planking up without ruining it??
Does anyone have a suggestion? Has anyone worked for Dream Pools and know what I am talking about? We want to DIY to save money.
ANy help is appreciated!!
Thank you!!
