My check engine light came on last week. 99 GMC Sierra 5.3l V8 Went to Autozone and had them read it for me. It came back as code P1153. Specifically as p1153, HO2S21. Guy at desk said it was likely an O2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1. Is that the correct interpretation of that code? If so, where is that sensor located at? Thanks

thanks for the help. Thought it was going to help me out but that thing was way off. Told me I only have 1 oxygen sensor on my truck and I know I have 4. I have seen them. Appreciate your help though

You must have done something wrong. The site shows Bosch part #13026 ahead of converter (2) required and part#15732 behind converter (2) required. Location is either in the ex manifold or pipes depending on your system. But if you have seen them you already know that.
