I have two closets that are 36" wide. I would like to put new sliding closet doors in but have been unable to find doors that narrow. Does anyone know where I can buy sliding doors for that small an opening?

Welcome to DIY..
W/o having them custom made..no..you probably won't find them. With that small a size it would only leave you a 17" or so opening when you slide one panel over. Most people would use bifold doors for something that small.
You can order most doors custom sized from the places that carry them..but there will be a special order and custom charge.
Now...you may be able to buy a sliding door kit and cut down the rail..but you will be limited to the 18" hollow core interior doors that you can find. And two 18" door slabs won't really overlap in the center..so you may have a gap. Also, interior doors may be too thick to fit on the rail correctly.

Without knowing the layout, have you considered pocket doors. They disappear into the wall giving the full 36" opening. Another thought would be custom made bi fold doors. You would probably have about a 30" opening left when they are in the open position. Just a few things to ponder.

You could hang 2 18" hollow core doors. You would need to space out one or perhaps both jams.
