:thinker:I AM REPLACING MY GARAGE DOOR TRIM,1X5,BRICK MOLD , AND DOOR SEAL WITH PVC,I'M TOLD BY LUMBER YARD THAT IT IS PAINTABLE ,ANTONE CONCUR AND IF SO ANY PREP WORK ADVICE WOULD BE MORE THEN HELPFUL,I PLAN TO USE MY SEASHORE LATEX ?THANKS IN ADVANCE .

Yes it is paintable..there may be some prep, such as light sanding or wiping with a solvent first. They should provide you that information.

If you mean using a nail gun..none at all..but you may have to experiment..esp with the brickmold. That stuff can be pretty hard..more than the normal pine anyway. You just want the nail head slightly below the surface.

As long as it's clean the pvc will paint fine with latex, if you want you can add a little emulsa bond to the paint - it promotes adhession.
I'm a little hard of hearing and don't have great eyesight but IMHO the over use of caps makes it a little harder to read:(
