Hi. The lock button on my 1-year-old Schlage doorknob has started causing problems. It used to turn locked/unlocked very easily, but now it seems to have gotten off-center (it's sometimes not flush with the hole it's in), doesn't turn smoothly and easily, and gives me trouble in locking/unlocking the door. Everything else about the door (opening/closing, turning the knob, locking the deadbolt) still work perfectly. Does this sound like something that can be remedied?

Thanks, joelr

Just a guess this might be a "F" series, designed for light duty/residential use, I'd remove the inner lever & lube the moving internal parts.....(don't use WD-40, I don't want to get GlobalLocky all riled up).... :-)
Of course, if you've been locking/unlocking it a dozen times a day every day it could be plumb wore out.
