Turned my Jandy oil fired Pool heater on, did not work. Checked power and had current to pressure switch. Bypassed pressure switch and heater fired up. What would cause pressure switch to malfunction and should I just replace pressure switch ($190.00) or are there other options?

I glanced at the manual for your heater. The pressure switch reacts to water pressure. According to the manual your unit requires a minimum of 30 gallons per minute flow through the unit. Either you don't have enough water flow to pressurize the heater and close the switch or you have a defective switch. Make sure your pump and filter are ok.
