I have a Focus 32 home alarm system and it beeps every so often from the wall control panel(wakes me up sometimes). I am told that it is the battery but I don't know where to find it. I unscrewed the wall panel and I didn't see a battery. Please, can anyone walk me through the steps of where to find it?

Look for the large (about 16" square") metal box in one of your closets or utility rooms. The battery is inside.

I have the Focus 32 and it is not monitored (internal alarm).
I recently cancelled my home phone (only going with a cell phone) and as soon as I disconnected the phone (modem), the alarm started beeping so I removed the battery and unplugged it.

Is there anyway I can still have this system work internally without connecting it to a phone and if so, how do I do this? I assume that it must only be one wire that connected the phone to the security system.

This is a DSC PC5010 (power 832) rebranded for ADT.

You want the installer manual and programming manual for a DSC PC 5010. If you plug the phrase: "DSC PC 5010 installer manual" and "DSC PC5010 programming manual" into your favorite search engine, you should get several hits in the first dozen or so results. You need both books for the instructions to make any sense.

You will need the installer code. The ADT installer code can be found by websearching using the phrase "ADT installer code"

To turn off phone line monitoring:

*8 [Installer code]
015
press 7 to turn off the phone line monitor
press #
380
press 1 to turn off the dialer
press # until you exit programming.

You may have to power cycle the system (disconnect AC and battery power) to clear the commmunication troubles.

Reset the time & date using the instructions in the manual section on keypad commands.
