I have a comfort aire central a/c installed in my home. The unit worked good untill recently, after some investgating I discoverd that the compression joints on the condenser are leaking.
Is it possible to cut out the compression joints and braze the lines in, thus getting rid of the compression joints altogether as they are prone to failure?
Anybody heard of this or done it?
TIA

This must be an old system as these quick connect fittings are no longer permitted.
It is a standard repair here and your tech should have cut them out before adding refrigerant.

Thanks for the reply GregH !
So it is possible that the quick connect fittings can be removed, I wasnt sure if it was allowed.
Cheers
