I had a Bradford White Indirect heater installed with my new Utica boiler 6 yrs ago. It started leaking out of the top two years later. Bradford White replaced the heater. Now, the same thing is happening again. Is this a common problem with Bradford White indirect units? Or, am I just unlucky? Thanks.

Well water with high chlorides or high pressure water supply with no PRV or expansion tank?

None of the above. It's city water with moderate (at best) water pressure. It has an expansion tank. I thought these things were so simple that they'd last for a couple decades. I don't get it.

I am having exactly the same problem with the Bradford-White indirect water heater. My first one was installed 7 years ago and failed after 2 years, leaking from one of the indirect connections. The replacement has just started leaking from the top (it lasted almost 5 years this time). In my opinion, there is either a poor design for the connection or a persistent manufacturing defect. I am looking for another more reliable brand.
