Motorcycles, Snowmobiles, Go-Carts, ATV's and Golf Carts - Battery dead from trying to start too much

alright, my yamaha warrior battery is about dead from trying to get my quad started today. Is it ok for me to hook it up to my car and jump it, or will it fry the quad? If not, are there chargers/ tickelers you could recommend that I could get. The battery is not old at all. Thanks much:wall:

I was told once that hooking a car battery to a M/C, Quad, or mower would fry the smaller battery. Personally after some education I think thats a lot of hooey. A battery will only supply whats drawn from it as long as the receiving side is not damaged somehow.

Plenty of chargers out there..from $10-100 that would do what you need.

In case there is a problem with the yamahammer, I would unhook the hot cable from the car then do what you need....of course that means you car may lose programming on the radio and computer..unless you use a memory saver.

Personally after some education I think thats a lot of hooey.

Provided they are both 12 volt systems, there is nothing wrong with Jumper cables from the car....

BUT...in the off chnce that your Quad is 6v...yes you can do major damage.....

If you do decide to get a charger, this is a good place to get one cheap. This of course assumes you live someplace they have one.
