Hello,
I am a recent newlywed and moved into my wife's house. I have noticed some issues with the house, but I'm not the handyman to recognize the proper way to fix it. I want to throw that out there to start with, but I guess it is time to learn. Anyway, her dryer is in the garage and vented through the outside wall. The outside vent is the louvered type and right at ground level. When it rains heavily, water comes into the garage. What can be done to eliminate this? I know some people would suggest rerouting to the roof, but that is not an option right now. We need a cost effective, quick fix. Any help is appreciated in advance.

Is it ground water that is accumulating or water running down the siding coming in where the vent exits through the siding?

Bud it appears to be a mainly groundwater. The brick seems to be fairly dry as the roof has a decent overhang.
