I need to understand when flashing should be used. I have a L shaped house and where two join there is an area that the roof meets the side of the house. (which is stucco with a 2x4 embeded into it) I believe the flashing is required to keep from rotting the 2 x4 board and or running down into the wall. Am I right thinking this. When I tore the plywood off the flashing was there. Yesterday, the roofers installed the shingles and left the flashing off. Any thoughts
